I took my partner for a surprise birthday treat as a 2nd visit to this gem of a hotel ( Hotel doesn't do it justice) . From start to finish we received the most fantastic experience . As staffing goes this place has got it spot on . Jodie should be cloned for every business that needs a perfect fronts person , all the other staff were fantastic . The surroundings are perfect, the building and it's artworks are of historic interest indeed . Our room was just lovely and spotlessly clean. The food was prepared, cooked and served to the highest ofstandards . Could not have had a better experience. Sorry to the staff as to how many times I mentioned Gayles birthday! Lovely to see the owner at 97 still with a Scotch playing the piano to guests . Just perfect .

For a ‘get away from it all’ Country House, Gisborough Hall is hard to beat. Wonderful food, service and rooms. Easy access to the Coast, North Yorkshire Moors & Dales or Teesside. We go every year - thoroughly recommended

Just went for coffee and sandwiches, the staff are really lovely. Sandwiches and Christmas cake very mediocre but the pleasant staff working there and the lovely surrounds made up for that.

Our first visit to Gisborough Hall to celebrate New Year with friends and it didn't disappoint. Excellent evening, very friendly and efficient staff. It's a very well run hotel. The band at New Year was first class. Our only criticism would be the dinner on New Year's Eve. It was quite disappointing which is a shame. Appreciate it was a large gathering but it just didn't deliver. Otherwise all the meals we had were very good.

Had family Christmas meal and birthday, been for Christmas meal 3rd time running every thing excellent staff very attentative, very polite reception, stayed over for the night rooms very good and breakfast next morning, everything you wanted be back soon

Went here for Festive afternoon tea and it was extremely good
The service from the 2 ladies was first class and we were looked after very well
The food was also excellent and there was that much we took a full box home with us, which one of the ladies was kind enough to get for us.
It is set in lovely grounds outside Guisborough and the interior is full of old character and charm

Came for the luxury Christmas shopping event and had lunch in the restaurant. Was amazed by how splendid the venue is!! Stunning rooms, so grand and full of character. Restaurant was lovely, food was excellent value and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to visit again, will definitely book to stay in future!

Our stay was very nice! The breakfast was one of the best on our road trip! From homemade smoothies to porridge! The hotel and the whole complex are a dream! Only criticism: dogs are allowed in this hotel. Our dog barked once in the evening at around 7 o'clock because the room service had brought the food and shortly afterwards there was a call from reception that a guest had complained. Perhaps you should react a different way to the guests who are complaining. After all, it is a dog and it can bark. When our dog barked the whole time or at late times in the night, then I can understand it, but not just after one bark.

Had afternoon tea here there seemed to be too many people to serve and not enough tables. There were only two of us and we were squeezed into a room and they pulled two small tables together. We were not offered coffee and tea was already on the table. The staff were then missing for long periods. Not what I expected from a fairly high end establishment.

Hotel bar reasonably priced, only had drinks in a lovely drawing room.
Nice gardens to explore.

We were excited about staying at Gisborough Hall with all its grandeur and history. It was a great overnight stay, with on arrival the staff were lovely and this was continued throughout the hotel. Booked our evening meal for the Bistro restaurant room, staff were great and special thanks to Louise who looked after us in the restaurant. The room was good with lovely bedding, the bathroom was good except it is in need of some tiles grouting around the bath and shower and bath panel needs sorting and wire wall baskets need fixing . The attention to detail is very good, from the hotel , staff ,food, bar, restaurant, rooms and the wonderful views across the hills. Shame about the tired bath/ shower area in Trellis room.

1st time at the Hall attending Wedding, had a pleasant reception very friendly and helpful. 24hr service was good. Breakfast had a great menu suitable for all tastes. Rooms were spotless, beds comfortable. Would definitely book in again. Perfect location for sight seeing or to just relax, grounds are brilliant, can't fault the scenery.

Had a wonderful afternoon at Gisborough Hall. 5 of us went for afternoon tea. We had a traditional, savoury and child’s afternoon tea. It was delicious! They cater for food allergies and you can take home anything you couldn’t manage! Beautiful setting and the staff are lovely as is the food. 5 stars would definitely recommend!

Wonderful experience .Staff are attentive and caring in every dept, atmosphere is outstanding just a wonderful four night stay with food to suit all at dinner and a hearty breakfast and a wonderful choice of continental if preferred. Beautiful views, common areas were lovely service also generally attentive.
Room was noisy from plant equipment, no air conditioning and sweltering heat. Bedding was decrepit and internet was non existent in the room making working online very difficult.

Afternoon tea. Beautiful place. Set in Yorkshire. Views are fantastic. Had afternoon tea on patio area stunning. Service very good. Sandwiches cut in finger shapes of a good size I may add were divine. Best sandwich I have had. Very good value coffee was lovely. The whole afternoon was perfect. Lucky we had a gorgeous hot sunny day for my birthday. Get booking why not???
